Day 18: CHILLAXIN'
We chose to stay for an extra day so we can help with clean up chores, enjoy the environs and have more time with their family.
A few miles further and we arrived at the perfect hand and foot lake side bench. (I may have won by a lot, but keep that between us).
As growing wrestlers, each melt had 2 burgers and Jacob and Noah had no problem finishing theirs and getting parts of ours. Healthy young men!
The day kicked off with Scott, John Alexander and I having breakfast. Large portions, better than expected quality and low prices, a good combination.
Then Peggy and I went for a leisurely drive just around the outside of town to enjoy the pastoral calm while Scott and Cathy handled their Monday work chores.
Our first stop was St. Peter's village, a single street, century old town with creeks, hiking and a quaint "downtown".
Lunch in town was relaxing and pretty tasty.
Continuing our 20 mile loop, we came to Hopewell Furnace National Historical Site. A few hundred year old buildings where they manufactured iron and had a small school.

Resting a bit upon our return to the hotel, and we'll be heading over to Scott and Cathy's soon for some of Peggy's home made Patty Melts! Pictures to follow.
What a great last evening with this wonderful family! Here's a quick photo of Snow, a critical part of their lives and loves to be right at your feet, always. And she's not small.
Enjoying the leftovers on their lovely deck, Peggy made the promised patty melts, and they were delicious.

Departing was such sweet sorrow. They have a lovely home(with bunting!) And it really feels like home! Can't wait to come back "home" next year for the 2nd annual Skieresz Family Reunion at the Grzybek Homestead.
