Day 2: Allentown Arts Festival, Walking "Home" and 55th!

It was nice to wake up slowly and to each receive an emailed $100 flight voucher from Southwest to ease yesterday's delay pain. Nice touch Southwest!

The room was comfortable with a great bed, a/c and nice Bay Window.
We plan to walk through the Art Festival (quickly), get Ted's for lunch, take a walk to Peggy's childhood home at 200 Anderson Place (1.1 miles away) then get her ready for the big 55th reunion of her Nardin Academy high school graduating class of 96 students in 1971. Since most of them stayed in Buffalo, there were 45 that came to the 50th 5 years ago. Just last week Peggy heard there were only 2 signed up so far for this year which included her in that count. Can't wait to see how many and who actually show up tonight. I'll be watching the Knicks until she calls me to pick her up. I don't want to interfere with the ladies "reunioning".

First, the Festival.
Then the walk down memory lane. Where Peggy took all of her piano lessons and music theory classes.
A random sign that I don't believe is true.

Over 587 months ago, and before Jesus shed His sacrificial love into our hearts, we tied the eternal knot at this Unitarian Universalist Church.

There's at least something that brings peace at this church.

Now time for lunch where we found fried deviled eggs and a burger on a Kimmelweck Roll (loaded with caraway seeds and salt).

We then arrived at 200 Anderson Place,  where Peggy met an original home owner, Peggy Tartaro, across the street, and they chatted for a while about old times and current news.

On our walk back, we passed the Teddy Roosevelt inauguration site from 1901 and noticed how much more crowded the Art Festival had become.

Taking another stroll through the Festival you come across some interesting sights. A fully vine covered brick building, which must be many years in the making!
You've probably wondered what you are going to do with all your previously valuable sterling silver sets.  Well, wonder no more!
Chimes! Who doesn't love spoon chimes?

Time arrived for Peggy's 55th reunion. It was a dud! While the group was large due to the 50th celebrants, there were only Peggy and Sienie for the 55th. And the food was weak!

The best part was her dear friend, Sienie Kelly was the other attendee.

Excited about the celebration and the after party, Buffalo is a rocking place!
