Day 3: Praise, Ted's, Marty and Susan!

Every day, especially Sundays, are perfect opportunities to praise the Lord for His countless blessings, overflowing love and amazing grace.  With praise as our backdrop, today's forecast calls for intense thunderstorms most of the day. Why not drive around Buffalo, eat at Ted's and visit first cousin Marty Jay and his wife Susan. It probably won't go well for the Art Festival today, as they're setting up for wind and rain.

But first, our go to coffee shop for an iced Mocha with Chai and Espresso. No photo evidence but Bam!

(By the way, yesterday's nostalgic walk earned us 19,650 steps.)

On this morning's walk, another beautiful vine covered brick building.
We made our first Ted's lunch stop and it didn't (never) disappoints! We skipped the chocolate shake but Peggy had her regular dog with all the toppings, my foot long had all toppings plus extra hot sauce and the onion rings were extra crispy. Loganberry soda to wash it all down. 10/10!

Returning to our room after lunch, almost in time to miss the onslaught, we got a bit drenched, and it could have been worse!

Visiting Peggy's first cousin, Marty Jay, and his wife Sue, we had a lovely dinner and great conversation. Special times seeing remote family, especially when it's for events other than funerals. We love these folks and hope to stay in closer touch (I haven't seen them since our wedding nearly 49 years ago).

Five and a half hours of lingering and worth every minute! Tomorrow another Peggy cousin for dinner. Can't wait!
