Day 19: 2,519 Miles from Home!

Had we come straight home,  a mere 38 hours, and bam, Granite Bay. Thankfully, we chose to stop at our dear friends and next door neighbors for 15 years, Bill and Pat Gross. They live directly on Lake Erie in Conneaut, Ohio.
Getting there from Elverson took about 7 hours and Peggy googled a great deli. Turned out to be a 4.8 on Yelp and had delicious sandwiches!
weIt's important for you to know, I NEVER go back while I'm driving.  If I pass a flowing stream of pure gold, and it's behind me, oh well, God wants the next person behind me to have it. Until today. Do you agree it was worth turning back to photo this?
Well obviously I did!
We arrived around 4:30 and Bill and Pat were ready with their normal, over the top, amazing hospitality!
The marinated pork loin, grilled to perfection, was outstanding.
Their summer abode, in the town where Bill grew up, is a sweet condo on Lake Erie.
Bill has magical powers when he grill meats and vegetables, and tonight was no exception. Combined with the beautiful sunset and boom! A great evening was had by all.
The excellent cab options matched perfectly with the gourmet meal.
What a wonderful couple to enjoy a few glorious days with and given its 1:18 am,  I think I'll call it a night. Blessings to you all!
