Day 4: The Wings, the Falls, the Cousins
The weather has returned to sunshine and crisp temperatures in the 60s. The sky is bright blue, clearly calling for a visit to the American side of Niagara Falls. Just near, and at the perfect time for lunch, we plan to stop at Duff's for their famous wings. Righteous wings!
If three folks guess which level of spice we ordered, I'll let you know. Obviously, since I'm writing this post, it wasn't the $1.79 option!
An AI hack told me we could ask for char on the wings. Oh yeah!
We also heard their beef on weck was delicious and "they" were right. Super tender roast beef with au jus. The caraway and salt topped kummelweck bun was perfect.
Niagara Falls was just 10 minutes from Duff's, and always worth the drive and then hike over a walking bridge to Goat Island where the Falls literally surround you.
Just relaxing a bit before heading to dinner with Ken and Rita Raczka at one of Peggy's favorites, the Left Bank!
Before leaving the Falls, here's an info panel for those who love info panels!
Meeting Ken and Rita for dinner at the Left Bank was a treat. They're dealing with medical issues and yet exude a joy that's infectious.
The food was fantastic, and the conversation and catching up was even better!
A huge chicken and mozzarella home made ravioli for Peggy, and a set of Panko encrusted chicken cutlets for me., too much and too delicious.
