Day 7: Joshua put on by Sight and Sound in Lancaster PA!

Saddened by our departure from Joe and Judy, yet encouraged that we missed their tornado warning and deluge, we arrived after 4 hours near Amish country.  The route we took put us, for a short period, on interstate 80!

Our bed and breakfast is a lovely restored 100 year old mansion, with a sweet proprietor who has Gideon Bibles and MacArthur study Bibles on the entry table. A very short drive through an Amish Village and we arrived at our 3pm matinee of Joshua. Two 4th row seats opened up and so we moved from the side, second to last row to down front and middle.

No more photos until final curtain! Can't wait!
At intermission I was able to photograph the world famous roasted and glazed almonds,  pretty tasty!
What a powerful show: the scenery, singing, acting, casting, biblical accuracy and gospel message brought tears to everyone in the theater. There was an altar call to put faith in Jesus and to come up if prayer was needed. Many came!

Then it was time for dinner at the Greenfield! Built in 1780, the chef had served under 3 presidents at the White House (2 Bushes and Clinton) and the food was excellent.
Short Rib egg rolls

Among with pork cutlets and halibut
Then, returning to our Bed and Breakfast we enjoyed some Hand and Foot cards. (I might have won: )

A wonderful time driving, a Christ centered and Christ glorifying play, dinner with my sweetheart and great planning discussions for next year's 600th and I'd say that was a great day!
