Day 8: Covered Bridges, Pretzels and Benkendorfs

Amish country is peaceful and beautiful.  We took a circuitous route passing through 5 covered bridges on our way to Intercourse, (the town), arriving at the best German home made soft pretzel maker, Immergut! I've included only 1 covered bridge for sanity's sake.

Looks like this buggy driver is carrying grenade propulsion weapons, or it could just be pvc pipe?

Proof of town name (which Peggy tells me comes from the term for discussions, who knew?)
Then came pretzels! Salted, wrapped around ham and cheese and hot dogs.  Wow.
The fresh squeezed lemonade was pretty tasty.

3 hours later, arriving at the Hilton in Short Hills New Jersey, a refreshing discovery!

Our dear college, and now Florida friends, arrived and we joined together for dinner at Eataly. Pretty tasty. And the grape beverage from Volpaia is a great Jordan memory!

Tomorrow is the big wedding day with another 5 university friends/couples arriving for the celebration. Excited for the newlyweds!
