Day 22: Go West Young Man! East is so Yesterday!

Conneaut is a very patriotic town. In fact, it holds the largest national re-creation of the D-Day invasion to secure victory for the Allies. It's always fitting to fly the Stars and Stripes. Bill and Pat must have felt we weren't gaining vacation weight fast enough, so our last breakfast was also epic: monkey bread, bagels and lox and delicious coffee.
And just outside their patio door, protected by flags they placed, was a nest of 4 killdear(sp?) eggs. The mother and father switched off to protect the babies 24x7. When a risk approached, they made as though their wing was lame and stumbled away into the grass to distract and reroute the potential attacker. Amazing!
At last, and yet too soon, we had to say goodbye to our California neighbors of 15 years. We love you guys!

Heading to the airport in Buffalo we passed the brand new Buffalo Bills Highmark Stadium.
We were not to be distracted however, since our lunch destination was set. Yep, a third Ted's Hot Dog stop.
Really, who wouldn't?!
There are 2 interesting end of trip facts to report: 1. Police pulled over 2 cars just next to me within 5 minutes of each other. I was going maybe 1 mile an hour slower each time and it meant all the difference,  Whew! 2. Our driving covered a distance of 1985 miles over the 3 weeks. We really felt we experienced this part of the East Coast up close and personal.

So now, unless Blog worthy events occur in Coronado over the July 4th Holiday, this is my over and out, and asking for prayer for SallyAnn, who checked in our Enterprise car rental, and was so excited to receive a Gideon New Testament. To God always be the Glory! Love Gary and Peggy (married 588 months and 1 day... and counting! )
